The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Learning & Knowledge Manager to build and scale a modern on-the-job (OTJ), digital learning ecosystem that helps technicians learn faster, improve field execution, and capture critical technical knowledge.
This role will transform training from traditional apprenticeship methods into embedded, point-of-work learning through digital tools, structured content, and knowledge-sharing systems to drive performance and consistency across the service organization.
What You’ll Do
- Capture and convert expert field knowledge from tribal knowledge into scalable training content
- Define & prioritize high-impact training topics based on failure data and service demand
- Develop modular, “how-to” training content (videos, step-by-step guides, visual aids)
- Own and optimize the Learning Management System (LMS) and technician learning paths
- Enable point-of-work learning through digital work instructions and integration into other service tools
- Expand use of visual learning (videos, annotated guides etc.) to simplify complex tasks
- Support remote expert collaboration and real-time field guidance
- Track learning effectiveness through metrics such as ramp time, first-time fix rate, repeat failures and training adoption
- Partner with service, engineering, and operations teams to drive continuous improvement and scale learning across the global service team
This position is based out of the Burlington, Ontario area with the requirement to travel to other offices and customer plants on a regular basis.
What You Offer
- 5-10+ years of experience in technical service, field operations, or learning & development within industrial/manufacturing environments. Experience supporting field technicians or service organizations strongly preferred
- Hands-on experience with LMS platforms (TalentLMS or similar) and digital/video-based training content creation tools
- Experience with interactive work instruction tools, knowledge management, CAD/3D visualization, or remote support/AR tools is an asset
