Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Receiver - Lead Hand to oversee the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of goods within our warehouse. This leadership role involves coordinating daily operations, ensuring accuracy in shipping and receiving processes, and maintaining high standards of safety and organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong warehouse management skills, familiarity with various equipment, and the ability to lead a team effectively in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic logistics operation supporting e-commerce, warehouse distribution, and order fulfillment activities.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities, including load & unload operations
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
- Utilize warehouse management systems (D365) for inventory tracking and order processing
- Manage stock levels, organize storage areas, and ensure proper labeling and documentation
- Assist with the training of team members on equipment operation, safety procedures, and system usage
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas to maintain safety standards
- Collaborate with other departments to support warehouse distribution goals
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, receipts, and inventory movements using warehouse systems
- Support e-commerce order processing by ensuring timely dispatches and accurate packaging
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse management, shipping & receiving, or related roles
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely
- Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and calculations
- Experience with order picking, packaging, load & unload procedures in a fast-paced environment
- Leadership skills to supervise team members effectively as a Lead Hand
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory accuracy
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment including lifting up to 50 pounds when necessary
- Familiarity with e-commerce logistics is preferred
- Valid certification for forklift operation is highly desirable
This role is integral to maintaining smooth warehouse operations while ensuring safety compliance and high-quality service delivery.
Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
