Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Fence Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing various types of fences, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency on each project. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing a range of construction skills and tools. Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine fence layout and specifications.
- Prepare the worksite by clearing areas, setting up necessary equipment, and marking fence lines.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment to dig post holes, set posts, and install fencing materials accurately.
- Mix and pour concrete for post setting, ensuring proper curing and stability.
- Operate machinery such as concrete mixers or heavy equipment as needed for large-scale projects.
- Install various fencing materials including wood, vinyl, chain link, or ornamental fences according to project specifications.
- Perform finishing tasks such as caulking, sealing, or painting fences for durability and aesthetic appeal.
- Ensure all installations meet safety standards and project deadlines while maintaining a clean work environment.
- Assist with other construction tasks such as masonry, carpentry, or electrical work if required.
Experience
- Prior experience in fence installation or related construction fields preferred.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics is highly advantageous.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation required.
- Experience with concrete forming and finishing techniques is a plus.
- Background in carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, or general construction is beneficial.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and estimates related to construction projects.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
