Job Description
WESI is currently recruiting on behalf of a client for experienced Wireline (E-Line) and Slickline personnel to support onshore and offshore operations in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Opportunities are available for both Operators and Supervisors, depending on experience, qualifications, and operational requirements.
Position Overview
The Wireline / Slickline Operator and Supervisor positions are responsible for the safe and efficient execution of wireline and slickline services at client well sites. Successful candidates will participate in equipment preparation, mobilization, job execution, troubleshooting, maintenance, and post-job reporting while ensuring compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
Supervisors will lead crews in the planning and execution of wireline and slickline operations, coordinate with clients and third-party personnel, provide technical guidance, and ensure safe and efficient service delivery.
All personnel are expected to contribute to a positive HSEQ culture, actively participate in safety programs, lead by example, and maintain compliance with company procedures, client requirements, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operators
- Assist with pre-job equipment preparation, assembly, testing, and mobilization.
- Support wireline and slickline operations during all phases of service delivery.
- Ensure units, pressure control equipment, and downhole tools are job-ready.
- Complete wellsite documentation and post-job reporting requirements.
- Assist with equipment maintenance, repairs, demobilization, and clean-up activities.
- Participate in site assessments, risk analyses, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.
- Maintain compliance with all HSE policies, procedures, and client requirements.
- Work effectively as part of a team in challenging field environments.
Supervisors
- Lead crews in the delivery of wireline and slickline services.
- Review job designs and ensure appropriate equipment and procedures are in place.
- Coordinate activities with clients and third-party personnel.
- Ensure all work is conducted safely and in compliance with operational procedures.
- Provide technical support and resolve operational challenges as they arise.
- Conduct and document safety meetings, risk assessments, and site inspections.
- Train, mentor, and develop Operators and junior personnel.
- Complete all required operational and post-job reporting.
- Promote customer satisfaction and identify opportunities for additional services.
Experience Requirements
Operator Positions
- Minimum 1 year of Wireline, E-Line, Slickline, Oilfield Service, or related industry experience preferred.
- Offshore experience considered an asset.
Supervisor Positions
- Minimum 3 years of Wireline, E-Line, or Slickline operational experience.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Offshore experience considered a strong asset.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
- Basic computer, reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools and field equipment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safety and operational excellence.
- Ability to work independently and in team environments.

- Standard First Aid & CPR
- CSTS or Equivalent Safety Training

Work Environment
- Onshore and Offshore operations.
- Rotational schedules may be required.
- Physically demanding role requiring lifting, carrying, climbing, and prolonged standing.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, vibration, and industrial environments.
- Travel may be required based on project and client requirements.
