REEL Aluminium Inc. is seeking a highly motivated, experienced Industrial Mechanical Service Technician (Millwright), to join our Burlington, Ontario team. In this role, you will travel internationally primarily across Asia to install, commission, troubleshoot, and occasionally supervise manufacturing large-scale equipment.
As a Service Technician reporting to the Director, Business Line Rod Shop you will collaborate with skilled tradespeople, supervisors, and clients to ensure top-tier performance of material handling systems. You’ll be expected to adapt to diverse cultural environments, respecting local laws and customs.
Key responsibilities

Supervise, coordinate and schedule installation sequence of heavy duty machinery.

Conduct daily site meetings, assign tasks, and ensure proper workforce deployment.
- Collaborate in team environments to commission and fine-tune.

Develop detailed installation plans, work breakdown structures, and resource allocation strategies.

Diagnose equipment faults, recommend corrective actions and implement repairs with engineering support.
- Modify the equipment according to the work requirements with engineering approval.

Conduct preventive maintenance and generate detailed reports on work completed.

Maintain strong client relationships by promptly addressing inquiries and concerns.

Generate detailed reports outlining work performed, parts used, and any recommendations for future maintenance or upgrades.

Conduct site surveys/audits, provision of recommendations to customer and preparation of reports
- Follow established work procedures and instructions as per ISO 9001 standard
Follow established Health, Safety and Environmental regulations.

Qualifications

Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) with Certificate of Qualification, valid in Ontario, Canada.

Experience with installation and commissioning of heavy duty machinery equipment as used in the primary aluminum smelting or similar industries.

Strong Rigging and lifting knowledge, (certificate asset)
- Experience with Hydraulics/Pneumatics required.

Strong electromechanical troubleshooting skills required.

Proficiency in reading Hydraulic and Mechanical Blueprints.
