SUMMARY:
The Royal Canadian Yacht Club (RCYC) is seeking an enthusiastic and service-driven Pro Shop / Chandlery Sales Associate to support the day-to-day operations of our retail and seasonal service areas. This role focuses on delivering exceptional Member service through retail sales, equipment rentals, and light marine services. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Greet Members and guests and assist with product recommendations and equipment sign-outs.

Process purchases, returns, and rentals using the Club’s POS system.

Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized retail space.

Support merchandising, tagging, and seasonal transitions.

Answer phones and assist with retail inquiries or special requests.

Manage rental program for bikes, kayaks and canoes and assist with member set up

Support fitting appointments, special orders, and Member requests.

Assist with fueling Member boats

Participate in store opening and closing duties.

Monitor inventory and report stock levels or low supplies to the Manager.

Represent the RCYC brand with professionalism and enthusiasm.

Support special events, promotions, or service initiatives as needed.
WHAT YOU BRING?

Prior retail or customer service experience preferred.

Basic sailing or marine knowledge is an asset (not required).

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Team-oriented, reliable, and motivated to provide exceptional service.

Organized with an eye for detail and merchandising.

Adaptable and comfortable multitasking in an energetic environment.

Previous POS system experience is an asset.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to stand for extended periods.

Able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.

Comfortable with working outdoors in various weather and physical tasks.

Manual dexterity for retail transactions and stocking.
HOURS OF WORK:

Must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays.

Schedule may vary based on Club programming and seasonal needs.
