Senior Accounting Analyst — 12-Month Contract
Aeolus Staffing Solutions is building a confidential candidate pipeline for an anticipated Senior Accounting Analyst opportunity with a large Ontario-based organization.
Contract Term: 12 months
Location: North York
Work Arrangement: Hybrid
Compensation: $45.00–$60.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
Key Responsibilities
- Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and supporting schedules.
- Analyze financial results and investigate significant variances.
- Assist with internal and external financial reporting.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and audit requirements.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with finance teams and business stakeholders.
- Contribute to accounting projects and process improvements.
- Support the continued effectiveness of financial controls.
Qualifications
- CPA designation or active progress toward completion is preferred.
- Five or more years of progressive accounting or financial-reporting experience.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and accounting principles.
- Experience with account reconciliations, financial analysis and period-end reporting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience working with enterprise financial systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience within a large or complex organization is an asset.
