About the Role:
Reporting to the Shop Manager, the Jobsite Driver position is best suited for an individual with commercial driving experience and a knowledge of the National Capital Region and surrounding areas. The successful candidate will be reliable, safety-focused and self-directed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a Ford F-550 Heavy Duty with a 8’ x 16’ flat bed
- Responsible for pick-ups/drop-offs deliveries to and from sites
- Transport tools, equipment, and materials between warehouse, yard, and job sites
- Load and unload tools, equipment, and materials safely
- Lift heavy objects when required
- Conduct safety inspection of delivery truck
- Schedule regular maintenance of delivery truck
- Follow all company safety procedures and road safety regulations
- Communicate delays, changes, or issues to appropriate personnel
- Safely/easily back up trailer
- Use Hilti ON!Track system to track and move tools
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Proof of clean & valid G Driver’s License is required
- Commercial driving experience and experience driving a trailer/flatbed
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with little supervision
- Basic knowledge of mobile device usage
- Experience and knowledge of mechanical & electrical equipment, tools, supplies and materials is an asset
- Organized, ability to show initiative and take responsibility
- Must have or be eligible to obtain Security Clearances
- Bilingual (English and French) is considered an asset
- Reference must be provided
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 36 per week
