Donald's Fine Foods is a family owned specialty meat manufacturer with six plants across British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan, operating for over 30 years. We're hiring a Millwright / Industrial Mechanic for our North 49 Foods team in Moose Jaw.
About the Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Millwright / Industrial Mechanic installs, maintains, and repairs plant machinery and equipment. You'll work as part of the Maintenance Team to keep the facility running safely and in full regulatory compliance.
What You'll Do
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment failures
- Complete scheduled work orders and preventive maintenance
- Determine required parts for repairs and replacements
- Dismantle, modify, and maintain equipment as needed
- Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, and plans
- Test new and existing machinery to maximize output
- Operate hand tools, power tools, meters, and material handling equipment
- Follow all maintenance procedures and regulatory codes
- Report safety and quality issues promptly
What You Bring
- Millwright Certification (required)
- Strong communication skills
- Reliable, accountable, and able to manage time independently
- Strong problem solving ability
- Physical ability to lift and carry equipment
- Manufacturing experience an asset
