The Business Analyst (BA) plays a critical role at ACV by acting as the primary bridge between business stakeholders, operations, IT delivery teams, and external partners. The BA is responsible for eliciting, analyzing, documenting, validating, and managing business and functional requirements to enable the successful delivery of technology and process solutions aligned with ACV’s business strategy, regulatory obligations, and operational priorities. Operating within ACV’s Information technology services, the Business Analyst supports initiatives across core operations, digital platforms, data, customer experience, and enterprise systems, ensuring solutions are fit for purpose, scalable, compliant, and adopted by end users.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Business Analysis & Requirements Management
- Lead structured requirements elicitation using interviews, workshops, process walkthroughs, and data analysis with business owners, SMEs, and end users.
- Document business, functional, non functional, and regulatory requirements using standardized ACV tools and templates.
- Ensure end to end traceability of requirements from intake through design, build, testing, and deployment.
- Identify dependencies, constraints, risks, and assumptions early in the delivery lifecycle.
- Support the development of business cases, problem statements, and solution options.
Delivery & Execution Support
- Serve as a key liaison Work closely with Project Managers, Product Owners, and technical teams and third party vendors throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Facilitate alignment between business sponsors, operational teams, and technical delivery partners.
- Support backlog refinement, use-case definition, acceptance criteria, and sprint where applicable.
- Participate in system, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) by validating test scenarios and supporting defect triage.
- Ensure delivered solutions align with approved requirements and business objectives.
- Exposure to end to end travel lifecycle processes, such as booking, modifications, cancellations, re accommodation, ancillary services, and customer communications.
- Ensure vendor delivered solutions align with ACV requirements, standards, and expectations.
- Experience collaborating with external technology providers, system integrators, and SaaS vendors supporting travel and reservation platforms.
Change Management & Adoption
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to support organizational change, including impacts to processes, roles, and ways of working.
- Contribute to change impact assessments, training materials, communications, and operational readiness activities.
- Act as a trusted advisor to business teams during transition to new systems or processes.
Stakeholder & Vendor Collaboration
- Serve as a key liaison between ACV business units, IT teams, and third party vendors.
- Facilitate alignment between business sponsors, operational teams, and technical delivery partners.
- Ensure vendor delivered solutions align with ACV requirements, standards, and expectations.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role within IT or operations.
- Proven experience gathering and documenting requirements for complex, cross functional initiatives.
- Experience collaborating with technical teams and external vendors to deliver business solutions.
- Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Fully bilingual (English and French, written and spoken).
Preferred / Asset:
- Experience in Travel, Tour Operations, Airline, or Cruise industries, or in similarly complex, transaction driven operational environments.
- Familiarity with tour operator, airline, and cruise reservation systems, including booking, inventory, pricing, scheduling, ticketing, or passenger servicing platforms.
- Experience working with or supporting reservation, distribution, and fulfillment systems that operate in real time, high availability environments.
