Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Drywall Estimator to join our growing construction team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs, preparing comprehensive bids, and collaborating closely with clients, suppliers, and project managers to ensure successful project execution. Your expertise will help drive our projects forward with precision, efficiency, and competitive pricing. Duties
- Upload organize and review project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine scope of work for steel stud framing, acoustic assemblies, fire rated partitions and specialty syatems.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates using construction estimating software specifically PlanSwift.
- Analyze material quantities, labor costs, equipment needs to develop accurate pricing proposals
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best pricing and terms for materials and services
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure estimates align with project budgets and timelines, including follow up calls post tender.
- Stay up to date on meeting minutes, change orders, site instructions, approvals, as well as the tracking and following up in a timely manner.
- Assist in bid submissions by compiling all necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with client requirements
- Maintain organized records of all estimates, revisions, and correspondence for future reference via our cloud based systems.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction estimating, specifically within drywall on commercial, industrial, retail, and office fit out projects
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and industry standards
- Proficiency in PlanSwift estimating software or software similar to PlanSwift
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing and terms from vendors and subcontractors
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Solid understanding of project management principles within a construction setting
- Construction-related certifications or training are a plus but not required

Pay: $22.00-$40.00 per hour
