Inner City Diesel Ltd. (ICD) is excited to announce we are seeking two Service Writers to expand our team at our Fort McMurray shop on 181 Robertson Road! If you have strong experience with invoicing and billing, this is the position for you!
This position is on a Monday to Friday schedule, 8 hours per day. The successful candidates must have their own form of transportation to and from work (public transit not available to our shop at 181 Robertson Road).

Responsibilities:
- Ensure invoicing and billing is tracked and accurate before sending to Accounts Receivable for processing.
- Communicate with clients regarding service updates, billing inquiries, and documentation.
- Answer inquires and provide information to customers.
- Maintaining computerized customer profile information.
- Developing cost estimates.
- Explain the type and cost of services offered to customers.
- Receive and process payments on cash accounts.
- Investigate complaints and work closely with supervisor to resolve them.
- Access and process information including ensuring that all PO’s are in place before work commences.
- Maintain records and statistics via excel spreadsheets.
- Perform general office duties including answering phones, maintaining filing system, photocopying, scanning, and emailing.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years’ working experience as a service writer
- Solid experience with tracking the status and closing out of PO's, invoicing, and billing.
- Strong computer skills including MS Office
- Ability to analyze and interpret the needs of customers and offer the appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions required.
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally always.
- Own form of transportation to and from work (public transit not available to office location).
Desired Qualifications:
- Previous automotive, fleet & equipment experience is an asset.

Successful candidates must have following prior to confirmation of their start date:
- Copy of valid Class 5 (or greater) driver’s license
- Copy of current 3-year clean driver’s abstract
- Copies of safety and training certificates

This includes, but is not limited to, following Safe Work practices and procedures, attending safety meetings and toolbox talks, understanding and navigating our digital safety application (SiteDocs), completing FLRA’s, using PPE, inspection of vehicles, tools, and equipment, and more.
