Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our compassionate veterinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in assisting with animal care, performing laboratory procedures, and supporting veterinarians during examinations and treatments. Duties
- Assist veterinarians with animal examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize equipment to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Collect samples such as blood, urine, or feces for laboratory testing
- Perform laboratory tasks including processing samples and recording results accurately
- Administer medications and vaccines as directed by veterinarians
- Monitor animal behavior and vital signs during procedures and recovery
- Provide compassionate support to pet owners by explaining treatments and post-care instructions
- Maintain detailed records of patient histories, treatments, and laboratory results
- Support inventory management by restocking supplies and ordering materials as needed
Experience
- Prior experience as a Veterinary Assistant is required, with demonstrated proficiency in assisting with animal care and clinical procedures
- Laboratory experience is highly desirable, including sample processing and basic diagnostic testing
- Strong understanding of animal behavior, handling techniques, and safety protocols
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, team members, and pet owners
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Compassionate attitude towards animals and their families, with a commitment to high-quality care
- For Experience applicant, Salary is negotiable and will always be 10-20% more than your existing salary (Depending on your reference and Previous Paystub Provided)
