Job Summary (Applicants need to be prepared to work a rotation of daytime , rest & awake overnights, and weekends)
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to assist individuals with disabilities in their daily activities and promote their independence. The ideal candidate will provide personalized support, foster a safe environment, and encourage participation in community and recreational activities. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, meal preparation, and mobility.
- Support clients in participating in community outings, recreational activities, and social engagements.
- Monitor clients’ health and well-being, reporting any concerns to appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client’s needs and preferences.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided, progress notes, and incident reports.
- Promote independence by encouraging clients to perform tasks within their capabilities.
- Ensure a safe environment by adhering to health and safety standards and protocols.
- Collaborate with families, healthcare providers, and support teams to deliver consistent care.

Qualifications
a. Education
- High School Diploma
- Foundations or Basic Skills Training
or
- Relevant Certificate or Diploma in Human Services
b. Experience
- Six month’s experience in the Human Services field preferred.

- Criminal Record Check
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- Valid Alberta driver’s license and access to a safe vehicle.

Pay: $17.88-$29.98 per hour
