Find Your Strength Therapy & Wellness (FYS) is a growing multidisciplinary practice dedicated to providing compassionate, culturally responsive, and client-centered care. We support children, adolescents, and adults in building emotional resilience, regulating their nervous systems, and reconnecting with their inner strength.
As our practice continues to grow, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Therapist to join our team. This position requires providing in-person therapy from our Pickering clinic, in addition to offering virtual therapy across Ontario.
We are particularly looking for a clinician who has strong experience working with children and youth, while also feeling comfortable supporting adult clients.
Role Overview
In this role, you will provide evidence-based therapy to a diverse client population, with a significant portion of your caseload consisting of children and adolescents. You will support clients experiencing ADHD, anxiety, emotional regulation difficulties, behavioural concerns, and life transitions while collaborating within a multidisciplinary wellness team.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults, with a primary focus on children and youth.
- Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Support clients experiencing ADHD, anxiety, emotional regulation challenges, behavioural concerns, and related mental health needs.
- Utilize developmentally appropriate, evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and professional clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with caregivers, schools, physicians, and other professionals when appropriate.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, empowering, and trauma-informed therapeutic environment.
- Provide both in-person therapy at our Pickering clinic and virtual sessions across Ontario.
Qualifications
- Registered or qualifying mental health professional in Ontario (e.g., MSW, RSW, RP).
- Demonstrated experience providing therapy to children and adolescents is required.
- Experience working with adults is considered an asset.
- Strong clinical knowledge and experience supporting clients with:
- ADHD
- Anxiety
- Emotional regulation
- Behavioural challenges
- Comfortable engaging parents and caregivers as part of the therapeutic process when appropriate.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and occasional weekends.
- Must be available to provide in-person therapy in Pickering.
- Comfortable providing virtual therapy throughout Ontario.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Strong commitment to culturally responsive, client-centred, and trauma-informed care.
Compensation
$110–$120 per clinical hour, based on experience, specialization (e.g., ADHD), and availability. Opportunities for growth and increased caseload are available.
Ideal Candidate
Therapists with specialized training or strong interest in ADHD and experience working with children and youth are strongly encouraged to apply.
