Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper/Dishwasher to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment, supporting food preparation and service operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a passion for cleanliness, and an interest in hospitality or restaurant settings. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is a plus but not required. This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable skills in a fast-paced culinary environment.
Responsibilities
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, including cleaning vegetables or assembling ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas throughout the shift
- Support kitchen staff by providing timely assistance with food handling and prep tasks
- Dispose of waste properly and ensure recycling protocols are followed
- Follow all health and safety regulations to uphold hygiene standards in the kitchen environment
- Assist with setting up dining areas or serving stations when required
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environments is preferred but not mandatory
- Strong understanding of cleaning procedures and food safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks such as lifting and moving supplies or dishes
- Knowledge of basic kitchen operations, including food handling and preparation, is advantageous
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude
- Willingness to learn new skills related to food service and hospitality operations
Pay: $17.20-$18.00 per hour
