Our Toronto-based client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Director, FP&A. This position is
full-time in office.
Responsibilities
The Senior Director, FP&A is responsible for, and not limited to:
- Budgeting: Refine and lead the annual budget end to end: calendar, templates, assumptions, and operator ownership across entities.
- Initiative and performance tracking: Monitor results against the initiatives set during the budget process, and flag what is on track, slipping, or at risk to the plan.
- Forecasting and planning: Build a rolling forecast process from scratch, plus a multi-year plan tied to strategy, with cadence, ownership, and scenario analysis so we always have a current, credible view of where we are heading.
- Monthly reporting and analysis: Deliver timely analysis of actuals versus budget and prior year, explaining the drivers, not just the deltas.
- Board reporting: Own the quarterly finance package: concise, driver-focused, and honest, covering the key levers that move the business.
- Business partnering and decision support: Work with the finance leads at each partner company to drive consistent budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, and partner with operators on P&L, headcount, unit economics, and ad hoc strategic analysis.
- Ad hoc support: Providing ad hoc support to the Controllership team.
Qualifications
The successful applicant is a designated CPA or designated CFA and has over 7 years of progressive finance & accounting experience. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple priorities is key.
