Position Title: Gift Shop Attendant
Location: 75 White Point #2, Hunts Point, Nova Scotia, Canada
Reports To: Recreation, Leisure & Retail Manager

Position Overview:
The Gift Shop Attendant is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the shop including sales and inventory depending on resort occupancy. The individual needs to be organized, detail oriented with a high level of focus on providing superior guest service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize all shop operations including merchandise display, pricing and sales margins
- Allocate responsibilities to assigned personnel
- Oversee supervision of the store and ensure product knowledge
- Monitor stock levels
- Ensure the highest level of customer service is maintained
- Sound knowledge of local art community
- Understand local artists
- Communicate verbally and in writing with resort team regarding merchandise
- Make presence known to customers when visiting the store
- Interact with customers to obtain feedback on product quality and future inventory
- Respond to and handle customer concerns and complaints
- Comply with store operational policies and work procedures
- Work as part of a team to build strong relationships with local community and local businesses
- Compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the health and safety program
- Adhere to all environmental policies and programs as required
- Other duties as assigned

Working Conditions:
● Must be able to work flexible hours including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
● Required to move, lift, carry, pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance
● Stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire shift
● Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting and pulling
