Job Overview
As a Customs and Logistics Specialist you will be part of a dedicated team based in Cambridge and reporting to the Head of Supply Chain. You will be responsible for our
international trade and transportation operations in the U.S. and Canada. You will work closely with customs brokers, carriers and internal teams to manage day-to day customs
compliance activities, international and domestic logistics coordination for a on-time delivery. This role plays a key part in ensuring the compliant, efficient, and cost-effective movement of goods across North America and import from Asia.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Customs & Trade Compliance
- Ensure import and export shipments meet customs
- and trade regulations for U.S. and Canada and
- international destinations.
- Assist with Free Trade Agreement (FTA)
- documentation and recordkeeping.
- Work closely with customs brokers and government
- agencies to resolve documentation or clearance
- issues and ensure timely, compliant global
- shipments.
- Maintain customs records in accordance with
- regulatory retention requirements.
- Independently manage and resolve customs
- inquiries, audits, documentation requests, and
- corrective action plans.
Logistics & Transportation
- Monitor and coordinate all domestic and
- international shipments via air, ocean, rail and
- ground transportation to ensure timely delivery.
- Work closely with freight forwarders for organizing
- shipments from Asia and Europe to North America.
- Monitor and track shipments and proactively follow
- up on delays, documentation gaps, or exceptions.
- Create Periodic Tracking reports for shipments in
- transit, in clearance and delivery to warehouses or
- customers sites.
- Ensure accurate shipment documentation including
- bills of lading, airway bills, commercial invoices,
- packing lists, certificate of origins.
- Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers and
- vendors to secure cost-effective and reliable
- transportation services.
- Review transportation Partner invoices, verify and
- validate and coordinate processing with Accounts
- payable.
- Collaborate with purchasing, sales and warehouse
- team to ensure on-time delivery and cost accuracy.
Continuous Improvement
- Optimize customs and logistics processes to
- reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Analyze and improve shipment performance and
- customs activity.
WHAT YOU‘LL BRING:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or related field.
- 5+ years in customs compliance, international logistics, or global trade.
- Strong working knowledge of SAP (
- Strong knowledge of U.S. and Canadian import and export processes and documentation.
- High accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on achieving results.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
