Discovery Dream Homes Ltd. is seeking a reliable and hardworking Yard Operator to join our team. As our production schedule continues to grow, we are looking for an individual to support the efficient movement, organization, and handling of materials throughout our yard and facility.
This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating equipment, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently
- Load, unload, move, and organize building materials throughout the yard and facility
- Assist with the preparation and staging of materials for production and shipping
- Maintain an organized and accessible yard
- Ensure materials are stored safely and appropriately
- Assist with receiving and organizing incoming materials
- Support production and other departments with material movement as required
- Perform general yard maintenance and housekeeping duties
- Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures
- Work safely in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow
- Perform other general labour and material-handling duties as required
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous forklift experience is considered an asset
- Experience working with building materials is considered an asset
- Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, construction, manufacturing, or material-handling environment is an asset
- Ability to safely lift and move materials
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, dependable, and hardworking
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
