Kitchen Helper & Prep Baker

Job Summary
We are looking for a hardworking, reliable Kitchen Helper to join our team. This is a dynamic role that sits at the heart of our kitchen operations. You will be responsible for ensuring our kitchen stays spotless, assisting with the preparation of our signature baked goods, and managing the critical opening and closing procedures that keep our business running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Food Prep & Baking: Measure, weigh, and mix ingredients for baked goods according to established recipes. Assist with basic baking tasks as directed by the lead baker.
- Opening/Closing Shifts: Perform essential "start of day" tasks (setting up stations, prepping initial batches) or "end of day" tasks (securing inventory, shutting down equipment).
- Sanitation & Cleaning: Maintain a high standard of cleanliness. This includes washing dishes, scrubbing prep surfaces, mopping floors, and ensuring all equipment is sanitized.
- Organization: Assist with receiving deliveries, rotating stock (FIFO), and keeping the pantry/cooler organized.
Requirements
- Availability: Must be flexible to work both opening and closing shifts as scheduled.
- Experience: Previous experience in a kitchen or bakery environment is a plus, but we are willing to train someone with the right attitude.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to [e.g., 50 lbs] (flour bags, crates, etc.).
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow precise recipes and mixing instructions to maintain product consistency.
- Team Player: A positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure during busy periods.
