Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Front Server to join our vibrant Indian restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure smooth restaurant operations, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Previous experience in food service and hospitality is preferred, along with a strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, professional service throughout their dining experience
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems, including Micros POS, and relay orders efficiently to the kitchen
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and perform cashiering duties with accuracy and integrity
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food handling and basic food preparation tasks as needed
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables promptly during busy hours
- Ensure guest needs are met promptly, addressing any concerns or special requests with professionalism
- Support team members in maintaining a clean and organized dining area
Experience
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred, especially within the food industry or hospitality sectors
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest satisfaction
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and billing purposes
- Experience in serving, cashiering, and upselling menu items is advantageous
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours
- Kitchen experience or food preparation knowledge can be beneficial but is not required
