As part of our continued growth, we are recruiting candidates from the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley for an out-of-town assignment in Cache Creek and Ashcroft, BC.
Position Overview
As a Customer Engagement Associate, you will visit homes in assigned neighbourhoods and speak directly with property owners regarding an upcoming fibre-optic infrastructure upgrade.
Your role is to explain the project, answer basic questions, and obtain the homeowner’s permission to connect their property to the new fibre network.
The successful candidate will initially be stationed in Cache Creek or Ashcroft for approximately three months.
After the initial assignment is completed, Alpha-One may offer the candidate opportunities to continue working in other project territories. Any move to a new location will be discussed with the candidate and will be entirely subject to their interest and agreement.
Candidates are not required to commit in advance to relocating beyond the initial Cache Creek or Ashcroft assignment.
This Is Not a Sales Position
There is:
- No product or service to sell
- No cost to the homeowner
- No subscription requirement
- No service commitment
- No pressure-based selling
Your responsibility is to educate residents about the free fibre connection, answer basic questions, and accurately record their permission using an iPad provided by the company.
Initial Out-of-Town Assignment
Selected candidates will be required to travel from the Lower Mainland or Fraser Valley and remain stationed in Cache Creek or Ashcroft during the initial assignment.
The assignment is expected to last approximately three months.
To support team members working away from home, Alpha-One will provide:
- Accommodation in or near the assigned work location
- Fuel allowance for approved work-related travel
- Territory-based work assignments
- Full training and onboarding
- Company-provided iPad
- Ongoing field and team support
After the initial assignment, candidates may be offered work in another territory. They may choose whether they wish to accept the new assignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit assigned residential neighbourhoods in Cache Creek and Ashcroft.
- Speak professionally and respectfully with homeowners.
- Explain the upcoming fibre-optic infrastructure upgrade.
- Clearly communicate that the connection is free and carries no service obligation.
- Obtain and accurately record homeowner permissions using a company-provided iPad.
- Maintain accurate records of completed visits and customer interactions.
- Submit daily activity and performance updates to the team lead.
- Represent Alpha-One and its corporate clients professionally in the community.
Requirements
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable speaking with homeowners face-to-face.
- Professional, polite, dependable, and well-presented.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently.
- Goal-oriented with a strong work ethic.
- Willing to remain stationed in Cache Creek or Ashcroft for approximately three months.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Reliable access to a vehicle.
- Access to a smartphone.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
Previous experience in customer service, sales, canvassing, promotions, hospitality, or fieldwork is an asset, but it is not required.
