Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of mobile mechanical systems for heavy-duty applications
- Provide technical leadership within the design team, balancing hands-on design work with mentoring and team development
- Support projects across the full design lifecycle, including:
- Conceptual and detailed design
- Quotation and technical proposal support
- Scope and specification review and development
- Project planning and scheduling
- Shop and manufacturing support
- Test plan development and commissioning support
- Support quoting and estimating activities
- Conduct structural and stress analyses
- Investigate issues and implement corrective actions
- Conduct and oversee design reviews
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver custom-engineered solutions in a non-production environment
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience as a Design Engineer
- Bachelors degree in an engineering-related discipline
- Experience with custom manufacturing and/or heavy equipment design
- Understandings of mechanical systems and electrical integrations are assets
