Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Ready Mix Driver to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will operate specialized trucks to deliver ready-mixed concrete to various job sites, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. Duties
- Safely operate heavy-duty concrete mixer trucks to transport and deliver ready-mix concrete to construction sites
- Verify delivery addresses, load specifications, and delivery schedules before departure
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal operation and safety compliance
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and reports for each trip
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site supervisors, and team members to coordinate delivery times and resolve issues promptly
- Assist with loading or unloading materials using loaders or other heavy equipment when necessary
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws to ensure safe driving practices at all times
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Mechanical knowledge of trucks, mixers, and related equipment
- Construction experience or familiarity with building sites is highly desirable
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, or tele-handlers machinery is a plus
- Knowledge of concrete forming and finishing processes is advantageous
- Ability to perform basic maintenance checks on vehicles and equipment
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety standards at all times
