Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience working in diesel settings preferred. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicle systems, ensuring customer safety and satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics using schematics and technical manuals
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete repairs efficiently
- Interpret technical schematics and repair manuals to accurately diagnose issues
- Execute vehicle inspections and ensure all repairs meet safety standards
- Assist with vehicle assembly and disassembly as needed during repair processes
- Maintain detailed service records for each vehicle serviced
- Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and recommendations clearly
Experience
- Prior experience is highly desirable
- Proven mechanic experience with a solid understanding of automotive repair procedures
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics
- Experience with heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with vehicle maintenance
- Knowledge of automotive systems including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components
- Background in automotive maintenance and troubleshooting techniques
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients about repairs and services
Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship
Pay: $20.00-$40.00 per hour
