We are looking for a motivated Volunteer HR Assistant who is eager to gain practical Human Resources and recruitment experience while contributing to a growing organization.
Responsibilities
- Post job advertisements on recruitment platforms.
- Screen resumes and shortlist candidates.
- Conduct initial candidate phone screenings.
- Schedule interviews and coordinate with candidates.
- Maintain candidate records and recruitment trackers.
- Prepare interview schedules and HR documents.
- Support onboarding and volunteer coordination.
- Assist with employer outreach and recruitment campaigns.
- Participate in career fairs, networking events, and community initiatives when required.
- Provide general administrative support to the HR team.
Who We're Looking For
- Students, recent graduates, or professionals looking to gain HR experience.
- Individuals pursuing or holding a diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and online recruitment platforms.
- Passionate about helping people build meaningful careers.
Time Commitment
- Approximately 25-30 hours per week
- Flexible schedule
- Hybrid (remote work with occasional in-person meetings and events in Edmonton)
