Position Overview:
The Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) agrees to carry the values, vision and mission of Dilico Anishinabek Family Care into all relationships and communications with patients, families, team members, partner organizations and the traditional healing/medical community. Under the direction of the Primary Care Manager, The RPN will work collaboratively with members of the Primary Care Team to advance care for clients and their families, according to the College of Nurses scope of practice.
The RPN will be responsible for maintaining flow of daily operations in the primary care clinic including, but not limited to, such tasks as rooming clients, monitoring vitals, completing immunizations and injections, assisting with procedures, phlebotomy and completing health teachings with clients.
Qualifications and Requirements:

A minimum Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) diploma.

A member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario

Three (3) years' experience in advanced nursing assessment skills in a clinical or equivalent setting

Satisfactory Criminal Records Search

Proficient with an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system

Certified in Standard First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS)

Must be willing and able to work flexible hours

Must have a valid Ontario Driver’s License and have access to a personal vehicle

Experience working with Anishinabek people is an asset

Completion of Indigenous Studies is considered an asset
-
Certified in advance foot care is considered an asset.
Hours of Work: 32.55 hours per week
