What you'll do:
Reporting directly to the Regional Chef, the Line Cook is responsible for setting up their station, and executing all menu items to brand standards and recipe specifications while communicating effectively with the Culinary team.
This individual may work across different venues located within 26 Duncan street and 250 Adelaide building, primarily Gibbons Irish Pub and the Porch.
Responsibilities:

Ensure that orders come out simultaneously, and in a timely fashion

Practice FIFO

Set up and stock stations and ensure stock levels are ready for service

Prepare food for service

Keep all areas clean and organized at all times

Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

Effectively communicate with the team and offer support as their needs may require

Have complete knowledge of food menu as well as specials

Receive orders from vendors as they arrive, ensuring quality and quantity is per request before signing off

Keep stations clean to a high standard and assist others

Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities in a fast paced environment

Prepare and cook high quality food on a regular basis, for special guests and functions

Prepare and cook meals or specialty foods
Qualifications & Experience:

Kitchen experience or culinary experience preferred,
-
Food Safe Level 1 certification
-
Knife skills and familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment an asset
Weekend and late night availability
