Copperbelt Contracting Ltd. is seeking a Class 1 driver to join our team for the upcoming construction season. If you take pride in safe, professional driving and thrive in fast-paced and always new environments - Copperbelt wants to hear from you!
What You'll Do:
- Haul heavy equipment between site, primarily in Whitehorse.
- Haul gravel to and from sites in either a tandem axel dump truck, tri-axle dump truck or a truck and pup.
- Perform thorough pre and post-trip inspections daily.
- Maintain accurate logs and load counts.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors.
What We're Looking For:
- Valid class 1 driver's license with air brake endorsement.
- Experience operating dump trucks.
- Clean drivers abstract.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements.
- Comfortable working in varying conditions and flexible hours.
Nice to Have
- First Aid, WHMIS, other safety training
- Mechanical experience
