Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring the property, preventing theft or vandalism, and maintaining a safe environment for staff and visitors. This role requires a professional demeanor, excellent observation skills, and the ability to respond promptly to security incidents. Prior experience in law enforcement or security is preferred, but comprehensive training will be provided for qualified applicants.
Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards
- Monitor surveillance systems, including CCTV cameras, to oversee all areas of the property
- Enforce access control procedures by verifying identification and issuing visitor passes
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, and coordinate with law enforcement if necessary
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security breaches
- Assist with loss prevention efforts by observing and deterring theft or unauthorized access
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and staff as needed
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures
Experience
- Prior experience in law enforcement, security, or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory
- Knowledge of surveillance systems and CCTV operation is preferred
- Familiarity with loss prevention techniques is a plus
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail are essential
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to safety
