Position Summary
Reporting to the T Manager, the IT Coordinator will primarily be responsible for providing internal information technology support, such as support on hardware and software devices, network, audio/visual, and security systems. This position will provide technical advice and assistance to employees and troubleshoot errors and fix issues via a help desk ticketing system, and other methods.
Duties and Responsibilities

The IT Coordinator is the first point of contact for IT related issues via phone, email, ticketing system, or in person to users in the different Dixon Hall locations.

Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, network, mobile devices and peripherals.

Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues (Windows 11 Pro, Microsoft 365, email, VPN, Wi-Fi networks, VOIP and Audio/visual systems).

Track, prioritize, and resolve incidents and service requests using a ticketing system.

Perform user account management tasks (AD account creation, password resets, access requests, MFA setup / support) align to Dixon Hall security policies.

Setup, install, configure laptop, desktop with Windows OS (11 Pro), including Dixon Hall core application and OS and windows patch security update.

Setup, install, configure Mobile devices with Dixon Hall application and MFA tools.

Provide support cloud services and shared resources (SharePoint, OneDrive.)

Perform in-person, on-site repairs of PC desktop hardware, printers, and other peripherals.

Manage Dixon Hall Security control systems and NVR across many locations, including programing card reader fob and access control group.

Escalate complex or unresolved issues to Level 2 support with proper documentation and troubleshooting using the ticketing system.

Assist with onboarding and offboarding (device setup, software installation, access provisioning). Including provide orientation to new users of existing technology.

Source cell phones, computers, peripherals, and other hardware at competitive prices form reputable vendors.

Analyse business needs presented by the user community and recommend technical solutions.

Assess and document the requirement of end-users.

Assist with the planning and implementation of technology projects.

Integrate and implement business solutions related to information technology.

Maintain accurate IT documentation, update IT asset inventory records, including keeping and managing inventory and deployment devices to reflect data accuracy.

Follow ITIL-based processes, SLAs, and internal processes.

Educate users on basic IT best practices, security policies and system/applications usage.

Ensure compliance with Dixon Hall security, privacy, and acceptable-use policies.

Stay informed on new or emerging trends and technologies that provide clear benefits to the organization, business partners, and/or customers/clients.

Flexible to travel / work and support operation and users in all Dixon Hall locations.
Qualifications

Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

3 years of work experience in IT technical support and IT helpdesk.

Strong knowledge of Windows 11 Pro, mobile operating systems, Printers and network devices

Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint and Office).

Understanding of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, VPN).

Experience using ticketing systems and following incident management processes (ITIL-based processes).

Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, and mobile devices

Strong customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work under minimal supervision.

Demonstrated time management skills.

Willingness to learn new technologies and follow IT procedures and security policies.

Experience in administrative task to fill out Office documents, keep inventory records, update IT assets information.

Critical thinking skills, ability to work under pressure, eagerness to learn, positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, empathy, respect, and solid professional values.

Nice to have: IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, or Microsoft Fundamentals.

Must be qualified to work in Canada legally for the employer.

Able to provide a Vulnerable Sector Screening check with a ‘Clear’ or satisfactory result that meets the operational requirements of the Agency.
Physical and Sensory Demands
- Ability to lift to 25 lbs (11 kg) to handle and transport IT equipment and hardware from IT storage to different Dixon Hall locations
