Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server/Banquet Server to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional guest service in a fast-paced food service environment, ensuring guests have a memorable dining experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong hospitality skills, be attentive to detail, and have a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. Experience in the food industry, including restaurant or banquet service, is preferred. Responsibilities
- Welcome and seat guests promptly, providing friendly, attentive, and professional service throughout their dining experience.
- Accurately take and serve food and beverage orders while answering menu questions and offering recommendations.
- Ensure all food and beverages meet quality, presentation, and service standards before delivery.
- Operate the Point-of-Sale (POS) system and accurately process cash, credit card, and room charge transactions.
- Clear and reset tables efficiently, complete opening and closing duties, and maintain stocked, organized service areas.
- Answer telephone inquiries, manage reservations, and process room service and take-out orders.
- Assist with the setup, service, and teardown of banquet and special events as required.
- Promote menu items, beverages, and hotel offerings to enhance the guest experience and support departmental goals.
- Adhere to all food safety, liquor service, health and safety, and company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while supporting team members and contributing to a positive workplace culture.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Smart Serve Certification required.
- Previous restaurant, banquet, or hotel experience is considered an asset.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with a strong focus on guest satisfaction.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.
- Professional appearance, dependable work ethic, and positive attitude.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
