Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and dependable Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe, engaging, and caring environment for dogs during their time at our facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals, excellent customer service skills, and the physical ability to handle the demands of the job.
Duties
- Supervise and interact with dogs to ensure their safety and well-being throughout the day
- Assist with feeding, watering, and administering medication as needed
- Monitor dog behavior and intervene when necessary to prevent conflicts or injuries
- Maintain cleanliness of the daycare area, including cleaning up after dogs and disinfecting play spaces
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's activities and any concerns
- Assist with loading and unloading dogs from vehicles or kennels, which may involve heavy lifting
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure environment for both staff and animals
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with animals is preferred but not required; a genuine love for dogs is essential
- Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with pet owners and visitors
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling large or energetic dogs
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
