Responsibilities
At Zumiez we believe in giving you the tools and training to continue a career with us, this position would be the first gateway to that path! That being said here are a few of the responsibilities that are integrated into this role.
- Maximizes personal & store sales results through selling, maintaining & covering zones.
- Assists the management team in maximizing sales results in merchandising & operations. This is a career role with a clear pathway to the 1st assistant manager role and potential to get to the store manager level.
SALES: Maintain personal results while training & developing the team to provide excellent customer service.
MERCHANDISING: Execute product direction & make store specific product decisions to drive sales results.
OPERATIONS: Opening & Closing the store (Including but not limited to reconciling the register, markdowns, transfers, promotion set up, inventory audits and store execution audits).Objective: Selling and Managing/Teaching to Sell and Manage through F8 Presence

Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail and customer service
- Open availability
- Strong knowledge of merchandising, operations and sales
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
- Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a busy environment
- Some experience with supervising teams and supervising sales staff would be an asset
- Customer service-oriented mindset with excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Some experience in recruiting and hiring
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Job Type: Part-time
