Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Lawn Care Specialist to join our team and help maintain beautiful, healthy landscapes for our clients. This role involves performing various lawn and landscape maintenance tasks, utilizing a range of tools and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for gardening, horticulture, and outdoor work, with the ability to operate machinery and perform manual labor efficiently. This position offers opportunities for skill development in landscape maintenance, and construction-related tasks.
Responsibilities
- Mowing, trimming, and edging lawns to ensure a neat appearance using hand tools and power tools
- Operating commercial zero turn mowers, push mowers, backpack and hand held leaf blowers and hand trimmers.
- Perform gardening tasks such as planting, mulching, and pruning shrubs, trees and hand picking weeds.
- Conduct landscape maintenance including aeration, overseeding, and fertlizing.
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on equipment and tools
- Assist with construction projects related to landscape design or site improvements
- Maintain safety standards by properly handling tools and machinery during all tasks.
- Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and safe at all times.
Experience
- Prior experience in landscaping, horticulture, golf course, or related outdoor maintenance roles preferred
- A valid G class licence
- Reliable transportation.
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices and irrigation systems is a plus
- Knowledge of gardening techniques, plant care, and horticultural principles preferred
- Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment issues is desirable
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with physical stamina for manual labor
