Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Educator Assistant to support classroom activities and foster a nurturing learning environment for young children. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about early childhood education and working with children of diverse needs, including those with disabilities. The assistant will collaborate closely with lead teachers to implement educational programs, promote social development, and ensure a safe and engaging atmosphere for all students.
Duties
- Assist lead teachers in planning and executing daily classroom activities aligned with curriculum standards.
- Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental growth through interactive play and learning experiences.
- Help supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring safety at all times.
- Facilitate small group activities to reinforce learning concepts such as math and communication skills.
- Provide individualized attention to children with special needs or disabilities, adapting activities as necessary.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment by preparing materials and assisting with classroom management.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to promote a positive educational experience.
Requirements
- Prior classroom experience or working with children is preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- Experience or familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Passion for early childhood development and creating an inclusive learning space.
