2nd-Year Plumbing Apprentice – Journeyman for Poly-B replacement

Fresh Eyes Contracting is hiring a motivated 2nd-Year Plumbing Apprentice all the way to Journeyman plumber to join our growing residential Poly-B replacement team in Calgary and the surrounding area. This is a hands-on position for someone who wants consistent experience, increased responsibility, and the opportunity to improve quickly. You will work inside occupied homes, so professionalism, cleanliness, and respect for the customer’s property are essential.
What You’ll Be Doing Removing and replacing Poly-B water lines Installing PEX water piping and fittings Cutting and opening drywall to access plumbing Drilling, running, supporting, and connecting new water lines Assisting with fixture disconnection and reconnection Pressure testing and checking completed work for leaks Protecting floors, furniture, and finished surfaces Cleaning the work area throughout the day Loading, organizing, and maintaining tools and materials Working efficiently alongside a journeyman plumber
What We’re Looking For:
-Registered 2nd, 3rd,4th-Year Plumbing Apprentice or journeyman in Alberta with Residential plumbing experience preferred
-Experience with PEX piping and water distribution systems
-Comfortable cutting drywall and working in finished homes Able to work in tight spaces, basements, ceilings, and mechanical rooms
-Reliable, punctual, and ready to work Strong attention to detail Takes pride in clean and organized workmanship
-Able to follow instructions and also work independently when required Professional and respectful around homeowners
-Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
- Own basic hand tools and appropriate workwear

You do not need to know everything, but you must be willing to learn, accept feedback, and improve. We are looking for someone who moves with purpose, keeps the jobsite clean, communicates clearly, and does not need to be reminded repeatedly about basic responsibilities. Speed matters, but quality and cleanliness come first. Pay: $20.00-$45.00 per hour
