Machine Operator

TASKS
- Operate hot wire expanded polystyrene foam slabbing machine and hot wire drop trimming machine.
- Proficient use of a tape measure
- Read and interpret information recorded in English, Imperial and Metric measurements.
- Thorough understanding of Technical Service Bulletin # 7 – Hot Wire Cutting – BASF.
- Understand how to cut maximum yield from blocks of Polystyrene foam.
- Properly mark all material.
- Ensure orders are packaged and labeled as per the Order instructions and/or the
- Packaging Instructions Sheet.
- Report to the Cutting Supervisor on any daily/specific problems.
- Maintain a clean working area around their equipment.
- Maintain equipment in good working order
- Assist on the contour cutter when required.
- May be required to work unsupervised.
- Complete understanding of the Quality Assurance Manual and the Systems Procedures as it pertains to the job.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Have some experience in operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing atmosphere or equivalent.
- Must have at least basic knowledge of computers.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
- Must be able to lift up to 55-65 pounds periodically and be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must have transportation to our manufacturing plant in Headingley Manitoba (no bus service to Headingley MB). Just out side of perimeter about 5 miles west
REMUNERATION / TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Pay rate: starting at $18.50 plus .50cent evening premium with the opportunity to increase based on performance
