What we are looking for:
We are currently seeking a reliable and resourceful Full-Time Production Support Associate to join our dynamic team in Cambridge, Ontario.
Typical hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Reporting to the Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for performing production tasks such as cord pulling, splicing and vulcanization, stamping and cutting, classification of materials to specification, adhering to product guidelines, and conducting quality inspections on finished product.
Main Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Follow detailed work orders to identify any special splicing, vulcanizing, and packaging instructions according to specifications
- Verify machine parameters, as well as the condition of the machine
- Ensure manufactured parts meets customers specifications
- Manage raw materials in a way that ensures traceability
- Packaging of finished product
- Record batch and cure date accordingly
- Conform to schedule requirements with quality parts and minimal downtime
- Report challenges with quality, processes, equipment and or materials to the Manager
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate appropriate functions
- Comply with all Health and Safety policies and guidelines
- Shipping and Receiving
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing English.
- Competent problem solving skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to interpret and execute written specifications and perform basic mathematical calculations
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
