We sell everything from power tools to compressors, welders, hand tools, woodworking machinery, shop equipment & much more! We are currently seeking candidates for a full-time IT Support Technician position working out of our Head Office in Abbotsford, BC.

Successful candidates will meet the following qualifications:
- Has a positive, friendly attitude
- Has exceptional communication and people skills
- Experience in an IT support capacity
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience with ticket tracking systems
- Knowledge of best practices around management, control, security, and monitoring
- Foundational knowledge of networking (routing, switching, firewalls)
- Experience with Active Directory and GPOs
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies
- Can work independently or as part of a team, and requires minimal supervision
- Thrives in an engaged, fun workplace
- Has a strong sense of responsibility and professionalism while being highly motivated to improve processes and procedures
- Is motivated towards continuous learning and personal development
- A working knowledge of scripting languages would be an asset
- Experience with Google Workspace an asset
Job Requirements include:
- Resolve computer/printer/network/phone problems reported by employees
- Communicate professionally and accurately during troubleshooting
- Learn and become proficient with our ERP system – Prophet 21 – and other tools, including but not limited to email, web portals, and phone systems.
- Support Prophet 21 and related systems
- Respond to service outages or other system/network-related problems
- Administration of (Working in) a virtualized Active Directory environment, including all supporting components such as GPO, DNS, IIS, DHCP, WUfB, Site replication, etc.
- Set up user accounts, permissions, and passwords
- Design, develop, implement, and coordinate policies and procedures documentation
- Support, configure, maintain, and upgrade internal networks and firewalls
- Setup and manage VPN connections and policies
- Implement and ensure (Maintain) network security
- Monitor and test network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, and latency)
- Configure / maintain / troubleshoot IP phone and camera systems
- Assist with various other tasks in the IT department as needed
- Occasional travel to other locations within Canada
- Continually strive to gain applicable knowledge, attend training events and seminars, etc.
- Work in accordance with the Company’s latest strategies, policies, procedures or guidelines adopted and/or amended by the Company from time to time, as well as all applicable laws and regulations
- Such other duties as we may request from time to time, which are reasonably consistent with your abilities and responsibilities.
