Overview:
We are seeking a skilled HD Mechanic to join our team in Grande Prairie, Alberta. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various trucks and equipment. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your expertise and contribute to the success of our company.
PAY: $35 - $50
Compensation can be negotiated based on experience and qualifications
Overtime opportunities available when operational demands require
Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on various trucks and other equipment
- Use power tools and hand tools to disassemble, assemble, and repair components
- Conduct electrical repairs and troubleshoot electrical systems
- Perform diagnostics using specialized equipment
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow
- Demonstrate a high level of commitment to safety, to yourself and colleagues
- Must be self motivated, work well with minimum supervision
- Must be available 24/7 when on call
- Must be receptive to working with short notice for call outs and overtime
Qualifications:
- Journeyman HD Mechanic ticket, or 2-4 year apprentice
- Strong knowledge of maintenance and repair techniques
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools
- Familiarity with electrical systems and diagnostics
- Experience working with Kenworth and Peterbuilt equipment is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong customer service skills
