Responsibilities
- Operate various types of forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to move, load, and unload goods within the warehouse
- Perform accurate order picking using warehouse management systems to fulfill customer orders efficiently
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely, adhering to proper ergonomic techniques and safety protocols
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts and other machinery
- Assist with inventory management by organizing stock, conducting cycle counts, and ensuring proper storage practices
- Support the use of warehouse equipment such as clamp trucks and order pickers to optimize space utilization and workflow
- Follow safety guidelines diligently, including wearing appropriate PPE and reporting any hazards or incidents immediately
Experience
- Prior experience operating forklifts, especially clamp trucks and order pickers, is highly preferred
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with warehouse equipment maintenance is a plus
- Experience working in warehouse distribution or logistics environments demonstrates your ability to thrive in fast-paced settings
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking and order processing is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail combined with good communication skills ensures accurate order picking and inventory control
