Summary
As the Associate Vice President, Sales – Eastern Canada, you are responsible for driving prime mortgage strategy and originations through a regional sales team. This role is key in strengthening broker partnerships, creating performance optimization, and developing a team of first-class sales professionals. Ensuring consistent delivery of volume, revenue, and broker experience aligned to national strategy, will be key components of your day-to-day. This role partners closely with Credit, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment to Strive’s origination goals and broker-first approach.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Partnership and Strategy
- Collaboratively create and execute the sales strategy for Eastern Canada with a focus on originations, budget management, and team development.
- Identify and build long-term broker relationships to increase broker and overall portfolio originations, including identifying new contacts and volume sources within the broker community.
- Create an Eastern Canada broker account level sales plan (volume and efficiency targets/forecasting, annual and quarterly goals) to support Strive’s overall origination plan.
- Decision and recommend sponsorships that support Eastern Canada relationship and volume goals.
- Act as the sales lead for industry and broker event planning, working cross-functionally with other departments to support defined objectives.
Team Performance Optimization
- Maintain a strong understanding of Strive mortgage products, services, innovative technologies, and competitive offerings.
- Educate and market to both existing and new broker clients, including facilitating presentations as required.
- Leverage technology and experiment with new platforms, tools, and strategies to ensure Strive benefits from emerging opportunities, including maintaining CRM system usage.
- Serve as a Culture Ambassador, leading by example internally and externally through collaborative partnerships that enhance Strive’s culture and brand.
Operational Excellence
- Attend and participate in industry events throughout Eastern Canada, including outside normal working hours.
- Escalate issues, obstacles, and emerging trends to senior management as appropriate, with recommendations and solutions.
- Provide escalation support to broker partners as required
- Assist with broker onboarding
- Manage within assigned budgets and ensure responsible use of resources.
- Perform other duties and assist with special projects as assigned.
You will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree is desired, preferably in business, with a focus on Sales and/or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in the mortgage industry, as well as experience working with third party vendors and external partners
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a high aptitude for building client relationships
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into clear insights and practical recommendations.
- Must be an adaptable team player who thrives in a fast-paced work environment.
- Competency in Microsoft Office; capacity to learn new technologies/systems i.e., CRM
- Demonstrated success in building teams is an strong, desirable asset.

Pay: $110,000.00-$140,000.00 per year
