Overview
We are seeking a skilled Framer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and construction, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role involves working with various materials and tools to create structures that meet design specifications. The Framer will be responsible for both new construction and restoration projects, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications and requirements
- Construct frameworks for buildings, including walls, floors, and roofs using wood or metal
- Install siding and other exterior finishes
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and effectively
- Carry out heavy lifting tasks as required during framing operations
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project timelines are met
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols
Qualifications
- Proven experience in carpentry, framing, or related construction fields
- Proficient in blueprint reading and understanding of construction schematics
- Familiarity with concrete forming techniques and concrete finishing processes
- Experience with siding installation is a plus
- Strong skills in woodworking and use of hand tools and power tools
- Excellent physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged standing
