Responsibilities:
RETAIL OPERATIONS
- Lead and motivate a team to provide top-notch customer service
- Recruit, train and supervise Scoop Shop staff, including scheduling and leading monthly team meetings.
- Create & manage shift schedules that support great customer service while allowing the completion of store operational tasks.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve financial targets and maximize revenue
- Communicate amongst retail teams using our current technology stack (Slack & Push) on a regular basis (weekly) and as needed.
- Ensure adequate inventory (ice cream, non ice cream products & supplies) is on hand to ensure continuous operation of our retail spaces.
- Learn the Point-of-Sale (POS) system as well as Shopify to facilitate management of our retail & online sales.
- Create, execute and oversee all retail operating tools, procedures and policies to ensure consistent customer service and function of our retail spaces
- Upkeep of store operating procedures and policies.
- Ensure general upkeep and cleanliness of retail spaces.
- Ensure general upkeep of work tools and equipment
- Address complaints, conflicts, questions and suggestions from Scoop Shop guests and staff
- Ensure all practices and processes in store are consistent with policies and meet legislative requirements including those related to employment standards, human rights, health and safety.
- Ensure all product quality and food safety standards are upheld
- Represent Four All Ice Cream as an exceptional brand ambassador
EVENT OPERATIONS
- Quote events, using quoting tools based on customer requests
- Manage booked events in the Four All calendar ensuring staff / cooler / cart availabilities
- Prepare deposit and final invoices for booked events.
- Schedule event staff (employees or contractors)
- Communicate with clients and production staff to order required supplies for events.
- Manage the execution of offsite & onsite events
Experience:
- High school diploma required. Post-secondary preferred (Business, Hospitality, Retail)
- 3+ year of experience in the restaurant and/or hospitality industry in a supervisory or managerial role. Preference given to individuals with previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry
- Excellent work ethic, proven ability to work as part of a team, multi-task and communicate effectively
- Capacity to work in fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Able to work a flexible schedule in line with business needs (daytime, weekends & evenings), although this position is primarily daytime.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy objects on occasion and stand for extend periods.
- Proven experience in interviewing, hiring, training, and managing a diverse team
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on exceeding guest expectations
- Ability to effectively manage budgets, analyze financial data, and make strategic decisions
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Proficient in cash handling procedures and financial management
- Current safe food handling certificate (or willingness to certify within 30 days of hire)
- Must have access to reliable transportation throughout Waterloo Region
