Academic Anatomical Pathologist

Applications are invited for a full-time Head, Neck, and Endocrine Pathologist in the Hamilton Regional Laboratory Medicine Program (HRLMP), with an academic appointment at an appropriate rank in the Department of Pathology and Molecular Medicine at McMaster University, Hamilton.
The ideal candidate for this role is a motivated and collegial physician with a strong sense of professionalism and excellent communication skills. The candidate will have subspecialty expertise through a recognized fellowship, or at least five years practice experience in Head, Neck, and Endocrine Pathology, including related molecular/biomarker testing and reporting. Strong surgical pathology and frozen section skills are required. Additional experience/training in cytopathology is preferred. Applicants must hold certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or equivalent, in Anatomical or General Pathology, and must hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the Province of Ontario.
The successful candidate will be expected to participate in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. A commitment to academic scholarship in the areas of education, quality improvement, knowledge translation, innovation, and/or clinical/translational research is essential.
