Job Summary
Whitewater is looking to add a Project Manager to our growing team.
The Project Manager is responsible for managing assigned client projects from initiation through completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This role works directly with clients and internal teams to coordinate resources, manage schedules and costs, and maintain clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
The Project Manager brings strong client-facing capabilities, builds and maintains relationships, and supports operational execution while identifying opportunities to add value and improve project outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors to ensure effective project execution
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within approved budgets
- Assist in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables with relevant stakeholders
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans to monitor progress, schedules, and costs
- Ensure resource availability and allocation throughout project execution
- Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate control techniques
- Track and measure project performance using established tools and reporting methods
- Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks
- Escalate issues and risks to management as required
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders during project execution
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure project success and satisfaction
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and third-party service providers
- Conduct client meetings to gather requirements and clarify project expectations
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize project progress
- Monitor project performance against short- and long-term goals
- Support budget tracking and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis
- Prepare project status reports and updates for management
- Develop spreadsheets, diagrams, and process maps to support planning and reporting
- Support continuous improvement of project delivery processes
- Attend training, conferences, and industry events as required
- Support field execution as required, including periodic site visits
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant or technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in fluid management within the oilfield, mining, or municipal sectors
- Proven experience managing projects in an operational or service-based environment
- Strong understanding of fluid management systems, water transfer operations, and related field practices
- Familiarity with water management regulatory and licensing requirements considered an asset
- Strong client-facing and internal communication skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Strong organizational, planning, and multitasking abilities
- Experience developing and tracking project budgets
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification considered an asset
- Experience coaching or supporting junior staff considered an asset
- Strong problem-solving and process improvement mindset
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to travel to field locations as required
- Legally authorized to work in Canada without restrictions
Pay: From $115,000.00 per year
