Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism, with opportunities to operate heavy equipment and commercial vehicles as needed. A background in freight handling, forklift operation, and automotive repair is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery trucks and commercial vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload freight.
- Ensure accurate delivery of products, verifying orders against delivery manifests.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the vehicle and delivery equipment.
- Assist with loading cargo, including heavy or bulky items.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate deliveries.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during transportation.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in freight transportation is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate deliveries.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and customers.
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and work in various weather conditions.
- Prior experience with freight handling or logistics operations is advantageous.
Pay: Up to $220.00 per day
