Job Overview
We are seeking experienced, hardworking, and fast-paced Wraps & Plates Makers / Front Counter Team Members to join our team at Jerusalem Shawarma. Candidates must have previous restaurant or fast-food experience and be comfortable working in a high-volume environment. This role involves preparing shawarma wraps, platters, BBQ items, and side dishes while providing excellent customer service and maintaining high food quality and cleanliness standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare shawarma wraps, platters, bowls, salads, and side dishes according to company standards
- Operate BBQ and grill stations for chicken, beef, and other menu items
- Slice and prepare meats while ensuring proper portioning and presentation
- Assist with food prep including sauces, vegetables, rice, fries, and toppings
- Serve customers at the front counter in a friendly and professional manner
- Take customer orders accurately using the POS system
- Package dine-in, takeout, and delivery orders efficiently and correctly
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, dining area, equipment, and utensils
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures at all times
- Restock ingredients, packaging supplies, and beverages as needed
- Assist with opening and closing duties including cleaning and preparation
- Work efficiently during busy rush periods while maintaining food quality and speed of service
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and front staff to ensure smooth operations
- Handle customer questions, concerns, and special requests professionally
- Support team members in various kitchen and restaurant duties as required
Requirements
- MUST have previous experience in restaurants, shawarma, BBQ, fast food, or food service
- Experience making wraps, platters, grilled items, and working front counter is strongly preferred
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a high-volume environment
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Knowledge of food safety and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to safely use kitchen tools, knives, grills, and food preparation equipment
- Strong teamwork skills and positive attitude
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate to heavy items when needed
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Reliable, punctual, and able to multitask under pressure
